Wedding of Jacqulin & Anthony (5/24/2008)

Finally got to test out the 17-55 and Lightsphere in a wedding setting. Pretty pleased, but was pretty annoyed at how fast the Lightsphere drained my batteries... though I reallllly like the effects the lightsphere gives, so it's a love hate relationship, lol.

Anyhoo on with the photos!

1) Maid of Honor

2) The bride after getting her makeup on

3) The rings

4) One of the bridesmaids

5) A son of one of the bridesmaids

6) The rings on their hands (two of her fingers are tucked under her hand since her cuticles had several cuts and she wanted to hide that)

7) They didn't play nice w/ the cake

8) I love how the lightsphere lit up this couple

9) Another adorable child

10) No ligthsphere but this is pretty funny (just bounce flash)

11) 70-200 and bounce flash only

12) Also 70-200 and bounce flash only

Lightsphere

I picked up a lightsphere so I could diffuse my flash... first I'll show you the photo with the ligthsphere, and then secondly I'll show you it without the lightsphere attacked, so you can see what a big difference a piece of plastic can make.

Flowers in Chicago

My father, husband, boss and myself went into Chicago on Wednesday. I got some fun shots of the flowers while we were running around.

Heidi & Mike's wedding

I was not the photographer, just a happy guest that was allowed to click away :)

These two met in college (and I knew both of them). I brought along my 40D to give it a test spin and had me some fun snapping them.

1. The bride pulls up in an old car

2. The groom watches as his bride walks up the aisle.

3. The bride placing the ring on the groom.

4. First kiss

5. Cutting the cake

6. Cutting the cake up close

7. About to kiss

8. Some friends having fun posing for a shot

Alpha Phi Omega Senior Wills

As an alumna of Alpha Phi Omega I still attend the Senior Wills at a fellow alumni couples house. This was my first chance to test out shooting people with the new 40D. Here are a few of my favorites:

And look, someone stole my camera and got me in one shot!
